Last minute Christmas shopping with packed\u00a0mall and shopping center parking lots makes for a\u00a0greater chance that you you will get into a fender bender!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Did you know that <\/span><\/span><\/span>Parking\u00a0lot accidents increase by 20 percent during the busy holiday seas<\/span><\/span><\/span>on?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

So if<\/span><\/span> you hit, scrape or damage a parked car, or if you\u2019re the victim of such an accident, don\u2019t panic and don\u2019t pretend that it didn\u2019t happen. <\/span><\/span>Do the right thing and take care of the situation. Leave a note <\/span><\/span>if you caused damage <\/span><\/span>so <\/span><\/span>that <\/span><\/span>the person can reach you <\/span><\/span>to take care of the damage<\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/span>Take care of it yourself <\/span><\/span>if you can <\/span><\/span>or better yet, call your insurance agent<\/span><\/span> and let them take care of it<\/span><\/span>,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

If you fee<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>l<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong> you weren’t at fault… <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>a<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>sk questions, take good notes <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>and take photos of both cars<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>J<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>ot down the<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>ir<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong> name, address, phone number, driver\u2019s license number, <\/span><\/span><\/span>license plate number<\/span><\/span><\/span> and insurance company <\/span><\/span><\/span>as well as their policy number<\/span><\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/span><\/span>Ask to see their drivers license card and proof of insurance to make sure they are who they claim they are. <\/span><\/span><\/span>Gather as much information as possible.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
